We have 175 incredibly dedicated staff members and a great Malawian Management Team

The majority of our team is based in the forest and many have been with us since the start of our journey in 2009. We also have a few staff members in Lilongwe at our retail outlets. So far, 30% of our work force is made up by women - from head administrator roles and lead managers in the field, to tractor drivers and retail sales clerks. We hope to reach 50% by 2030 as we expand our oil and charcoal yields and Virisafe range sales.

nebson chiloko- Managing Director

Nebson is a forester by profession and works as our Manager Director-Viphya. He is a director and shareholder of the company and runs things on a day to day basis.

TANYA CLARKE- Managing Director

Tanya and the Clarke family founded Kawandama Hills in 2009. Tanya is an entrepreneur and the group Managing Director. She moved to Malawi in 2007 as part of a charity building schools and ended up staying for 18 years.

CHIMEMWE GONDWE

Chimemwe is our Accounts Officer and has been with KHP since 2012. She manages accounts and HR issues.

THOKOSANI

Thoko is our Chief Administrator overseeing administration and HR. She joined us in 2023.

FELIX Mpinganjira

Felix is our Forestry Coordinator and key implementer of community programmes. He manages and oversees forestry and the Lucheche Cooperative.
